Piers joined Bower Construction and Design in 2002 after establishing his building career with Sydney based construction company St Hilliers, honing his skills on commercial projects of up to $50 million. Prior to his time in Sydney Piers cut his teeth working on Bower building sites as a general labourer whilst studying a building engineering course at the University of South Australia.
Piers has renovated several of his own homes so truly understands the building process from a clients perspective. This combined with his commitment to delivering projects of the highest quality is evident, both in the design and costing stage of a build as well as in the construction stage. Piers thrives on the challenge of bringing your unique design to life in the most cost effective, efficient way possible.
In addition to managing sites Piers’ expertise is primarily focused on the tender process and working with draftsman and architects to ensure the best possible outcome for your build.
After completing a degree in marketing and communication at the University of South Australia Josh worked in Sydney and London for over a decade with some of the world biggest technology companies. He returned home to Adelaide to join the family building company in 2005 working initially as a general labourer to learn all aspects of how to efficiently run a building site before soon joining his brother Piers as Co-Director of Bower Construction and Design.
With a keen eye for detail and exceptional planning skills Josh’s primary focus is keeping multiple sites running with optimal efficiency to ensure both timelines and standards are always met. Coordinating trades, transforming plans into reality and deciphering complex design elements are Josh’s specialities.
Known by architects, clients and trades for leaving no stone unturned Josh is dedicated to delivering projects which exceed all expectations.
In the 1970’s there were very few women on construction sites until Robbie Bower burst onto the Adelaide building scene with the determination and tenacity that has made Bower what it is today. Four decades on, her dedication to delivering Adelaide’s finest homes is evident in both the countless projects all over South Australia and the exceptional standards which are maintained to this day by her sons Piers, Josh and Jay.
As a true trailblazer and stalwart of the South Australian building industry Robbie is committed to passing on her invaluable depth of knowledge and experience to the next generation. Robbie understands that engaging a builder for any project, big or small is a huge decision both financially and emotionally and is committed to making the process as streamline and straight forward as possible.
Jay joined Bower Construction and Design in 2016 working initially as a general labourer, amassing many practical skills and a solid understanding of how Bower sites are coordinated.
Jay is now responsible for managing all aspects of operations, trade relationships and site completion.
